different writers - different cups

The origin of a text is often very special for the author. An emotional attachment to themes and structures is also quite common even if the attachment to the work in general depends upon the motivation to write. Convictions, beliefs, cultural and other influences as well display in the way the author relates to his written words.

A so called “born writer” is completely emotionally attached to his every written word, for this kind of author it is absolutely unthinkable that there are any circumstances under which another person would ever consider to present their words as another’s. And when they come across someone with a similar text they will simply assume another person`s inspiration went down a similar road or forced the other person to use the same words to express another unique content or another view that is simply important to them. “Born writers” are attached to the emotional process of the birth of their text and the spirit in their text more than they are to the words themselves. “Born writers” are creators.

A so called “fame writer” is completely emotionally attached to the reactions and adoration connected to their written words. It is unthinkable for this kind of author to publish a text they don`t consider perfect in every way. They are so taken in by their achievements that they become very narrow-minded. All other authors are the enemy who has no other aim as to take their fame away from their work. All other writers are simply so enthralled by their words that they simply have to copy them and use them to take their rightful money and followers from their hands. “Fame writers” are fighters.

A so called “money writer” is completely dedicated to the financial value of their written words. For this kind of author it is simply unthinkable to publish a text for free or enjoy the simple exploration of a topic for the purpose of exploration alone. They are completely focused on the market and the trending topics whether their words have deeper meaning or not is completely irrelevant. They don`t focus on values portrayed or the influence their words might have on their readers. “Money writers” are trend whores.

A so called “meaning writer” is absolutely dedicated to the teaching that is attached to their written words. They contemplate forever if the focus is set right, if the philosophy is portrayed in a way no reader can misinterpret, if the grammar is in perfect unison to the teaching itself or if a unobserved punctuation might alter the meaning as a whole and call for a follow-up explanation. “Meaning writers” strive to achieve the production of words of really unique content. “Meaning writers” are completely dedicated to their set in stone words and their subject.

Interesting definitions, and although mildly one dimensional, I see much truth in each description.

That is good if that is what you want to do and you don’t feel pressured to do it just because of what people could think
