A face is a book telling people all about you. A face never spits your everything at people passing by. A face is an open book hinting at hidden treasures of experience, knowledge and a vast amount of self called many things in many words and languages - character, soul, being - in english terms the popular expression.
A face catches and draws people near but what if the face is reduced to the book behind it? Is it less substancial. Is it less easy to connect and find people by their self alone?
Face and voice are the most popular markers of identification we as human beings are trained to use from early childhood. We depend on our senses, our trained senses and yet we settle for the unknown.
Showing the world a face that resembles ours most profitably, more of an eye-catcher than it is, more or less attractive, appealing to as many people as possible, facing the masses or facing the other way.
Pages and pages of our book show up as we use social media more so than as we walk down our road of life as we speak. Time will tell if the choices we made were the right ones. We choose to enter the pools of society even if we do so with a bitter taste in our mouth and bell over our head ringing out to us that we are fools to believe our path will be different.
People will be kinder to our face than behind our back only if we confronted by them directly. The wisdom of snow blows hard in our face. White is where we start. White is the page we look at before the black word winds its way to the surface. White is the page we face before the colours call out to us.
A book to our face that makes sense to me. A facette of social media I never considered since it takes a lot of time, willpower and strength to mold, form, experience and create while ballancing a book to our face on the other hand reading, watching, learning.
Choices may be our own and yet we also depend on contemporary attachments, wishes, hopes and relationships as a human being as well as a user of the www. Experience will tell in the end if expectations are met or bitrayed.
Face a book.
Be a face to a book.
Face faces of books.
Facebook - perhaps another page turned.
