some people live walled in their own stubborn minds

Some people are just to stubborn to ever comprehend what someone else says. Stuck on their own beliefs they never allow themselves to ponder issues and when they ponder something they simply let it pass trough their minds without even making the attempt to consider there might even be a value in what others think or say. Nothing exists but what fits their own view of life.

Some people are just to stubborn to ever believe in something else than their own world of thoughts. Whatever exists on the outside has neither substance nor value to them. Science, religion, wisdom are all the same mumbojumbo to them that they discard with a wave of their hand. Whatever shoves their own ignorance into their faces has to be dismissed as worthless drivel otherwise it would shake up their make-belief world.

Some people are just to stubborn to ever allow themselves to see more, to experience more, to ponder anything that lies beyond their own bellybutton. No matter what storm rattles their dwelling they never stop complimenting their navels. As long as their sight stays narrowed in on a single spot they don't have to glance at the whole picture. This way they can remain prejudiced, narrowminded and narrowhearted without ever realizing it themselves.

Very well put yayuki. I think you have encapsualted the key problem with the strong majority of what is posted on forums and discussion sites everywhere. These sites provide an invaluable opportunity for interesting, stimulating, educative, character developing discussion and debate on all manner of topics. Unfortunately, the number of people who see it that way are much too few and far between.

Thank you. I agree. It is a problem of both virtual and real life, one encounters people that just don’t wish to see and no matter how hard you try some of them just wish to remain unseeing no matter the price that they have to pay for their ignorance.

Yes, there are ways to put your point across that offer the possibility at least of influencing the opinions of others. Most of what is posted here and elsewhere influences no-one.

Yes, I guess most people are very happy to have an outlet though even if it doesn’t change the world… a great mind once said that if you reach even one person you have won… that is ok with me, building a house you have to start with one stone after all no matter how big the house will be

Some people are simply closed minded. Others have a limited belief and others view the world as it was meant to be “wide open and free to choose” Nice write Yuki

Never thought you’d say that. People are different I guess and some are harder to live/ to blog/exist next to than others, that really got my hamster jump the wheel and go for a run.

I like to think in the possibility of change, but most people don’t seem to have the patience.

there is always the possibility for change… I have the patience to wait forever at times, so others must have that too… the question is, when people have all that feeds their world and nobody can enter to make them see something else, change doesn’t come because the only impulse that could ever cause a change has to come from within and for that to occur their must be a lack, a need not met

I need to work on my patience, as well, I’d love people to change for the better but as you say some won’t they are too convinced.

oye.. Some people can actually decipher words and pluck out feelings.. I believe we are all to some extent like this depending on what the topic of feeling is. Some may have similarities but we are all unique in our sanctum of self, we share and contemplate, shake our heads in agreement and as you pointed out, a lot of the time stuck in our own heads staring at a constant, not willing to shake off that veil and dance in the freedom of exploring LIFE..

    June 09, 2014
    1. yayuki

Yes, people are different, maybe it depends on the topic with some, but there are a few who are just willing to listen to nothing in all topics of their lifes… difficult people… in virtual life they are somehow annoying in real life they are hard to live with… I guess whatever becomes an extreme is a stone one falls over more than a stone to start building something with… that doesn’t mean of course that we all should be shallow and changeable just that we shouldn’t get hardminded… maybe I phrased that all wrong, do you understand?
